Our History
The Ming Estate was settled in 1837 by the Honorable James Ming, Post Master, livestock farmer, and grandson of an American Revolutionary commissioned officer.
The estate house was tastefully restored in 1990 and the venue, Caroline’s Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel, was dedicated in 2002.
In 2007 the venue was sold and turned into a Non Profit Wedding Venue, The Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel.
In 2009 the church, Riverbend Calvary Chapel, was established and the venue is now renamed to Riverbend Chapel Weddings.
The focus of our Non Profit Venue is to support the ministry of the church and maintain our beautiful grounds.
Our Commitment
Riverbend Chapel has pastors that can provide Christian premarital counseling upon request. There is no additional charge for these services.

Our Core Beliefs
Only through Jesus Christ is eternal life possible to everyone who receives Him as Savior and Lord. We believe in God’s Holy Spirit, given by Jesus Christ to all His people, as a source of strength until Jesus’ return.
We believe in the gifts the Spirit brings as a sign of His presence with an absolutism on no particular gift but an openness to all of them. Only as each person allows the Spirit to work does the Church become all that God intends her to be. We believe that the Bible, God’s Holy Word, sets the standard for living. It is authoritative for us as a rule of faith and practice.
The Calvary Chapel Church has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor aw we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We Believe: Worship of God should be Spiritual. Therefore: We remain flexible and yielded to the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.
We Believe: Worship of God should be Inspirational. Therefore: We give a great place to music in our worship.
We Believe: Worship of God should be Intelligent. Therefore: Our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped.
We Believe: Worship of God is Fruitful. Therefore: We look for His Love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshiping Him.
